Well, since this priject is more or less on the backburner, I posted it on Craigslist. Some guy showed up and just wanted to buy some parts. So, I sold him all of the lights and a few other things. Now I’m thinking I’ll repaint the frame and turn it into a total custom. Otherwise, chances are that I’ll sell the engine and wheels and the frame will end up in a junk yard eventually. We just can’t have that happen!!! For now, I took the money from the parts to buy some parts for the CL200.

The rear shocks look like crap, but most of the other stuff has been fully restored, except for the gas tank. By the way, I’ve determined that this is a CB360G, due to it having a front disc brake.

Like NMAXXS my first street bike was also a CB360. A 1974 CB360T. I bought it in 1977 from my brother in law. I rode the crap out of that bike for about two years and sold it to a friend. He still has it, although it is pretty bad shape. I was thinking about making an offer on it, but decided it would cost way too much to restore. Since then I have owned about twenty two bikes and currently own a 1977 XS650D and a 1987 Yamaha XT350. I like your site, keep up the good work.
Cheers,
Gymi
Thanks Gymi. Do you have any pics of your XT350? I love old enduros, especially the 2 strokes.

Hey Brian,
There are a few pics of it on my blog http://vintagedirtbikes.blogspot.com/ it was a real snot rag when I got my hands on it. It was left outside and not ridden for seven years and was missing a lot of parts. It is almost back to like new shape now after a lot of work.

Yeah – I saw that earlier today. The bike looks great.
My first bike was a CB360 (can’t remember what year). I bought it used from a Navy buddy of mine while I was stationed in San Diego back in the late ’70s. When I think back on how I abused that bike and never did any maintenance on it, it was amazingly dependable.
It got stolen twice while sitting on the dock when I was out to sea. The first time I happened upon it out of sheer luck, sitting on a side street on North Island (CA) where my ship was berthed. The thief must have gotten pissed when it ran out of gas, because he beat the crap out of the tank. I filled it up and off I went. The second time, it was gone for good. Great, fun to ride bike.
