Sorry for posting this so late this week, but here goes….

Announcing the vintagebikeroders.com douchiest biker contest.

Between now and November 30 2009, post your story of the douchiest biker you’re ever met here on the site.  Use the “Douchiest Biker Contest” category when posting please.  Pictures are encouraged but now required.  A winner will be selected by December 10.  The prize is a whopping $20.00 gift certificate to Starbucks.  Sorry, we’re still pretty low budget around here.

I look forward to hearing about the biggest douchebag biker you all have ever met.

douchiest biker huh? a few years back i was without 4 wheel transport and broke. i came across a 84 virago 1000, with a “sweet” pearl white paint, for 1200 bucks. i bought it in march and hit the road. i have ridden bikes my whole life but this was my first japanese harley clone. 2 449cc cyl. i hated that bike. one cylinder would crap out and pop back on at random, usually by some hot chick, forcing me to hold on really tight cus thats a kick in the ass when half your motorcycle turns off and on. still i was broke it got me to work most times and what the hell i was riding full time.i would pass these harley doctors with their “roeder harley” or knock off sturgis standard black t’s 250 dollar harley boots and gay fringe on their 08 raod king trying to act like jessie james. never did i get the “wave”. no respect for a real rider in work boots and a lunch box strapped to the seat. im my opinion those weekend warriors with their 25000 bikes all deserve to win the douchiest rider award. live to ride ride to live only keep it real man. harley, honda or ducati ride to ride

I recently showed my 750 to a neighbor who has 2 H.D.s, ( thought he would greet me as a fellow biker ), what I got was a, ” Now you can fix it up, sell it and be one step closer to getting a Harley…”, all the while cleaning the mud off his YAMAHA 4 wheeler that he had just rode that weekend…DUUUUHHH???? I almost said,” Where’s your Harley 4 wheeler?”, but I just bit my tongue and rode off knowing I’m better than that! I had an ’81 Ironhead/Harley, and I’m proud that I have treated riders of other makes and models with the repect that we all deserve…

Here’s a little story I think is kinda Douchie. While combing CL I can across a post for a GS 550 for sell or trade. The add went on about how the person just upgraded to a HD and that the GS would make a good wifebike or beginer ride, and things he might trade for. One thing on the list was a Guitar, so I replayed about my Peavy/Preditor (Made in USA). I got a smug replay that he would only be interested in MIM Fender Strats. (MIM – Made in Mexico.)The Peavy and Strat are almost identical guitars save the name on the neck. OK, that being said, I’m sure this person is confused, or a Douchiebag, lol. Just a little story, Thanks for letting me vent.

Saw the ad on Cleveland Craigslist for this. I don’t have any vintage bikes (both are 2003′s), but my ol’ man has 3 CBXs so hopefully I qualify by proxy.

I won’t post the whole story, here, but I posted it on ohio-riders.net.

Suffice to say I was over a hundred miles away from home to be accosted by this internet nutjob in a Wendy’s in Zanesville – all because we busted his chops about “dragging knee” without proper gear.
