hello everyone. so, vintage bikes. my wife really is tired of it but im obsessed.  it all started for me in high school. i got my hands on a 78 cr250. it was a rat but it ran like a raped ape. life happened and i had to sell it.  long story short, here i am with 4 projects and one rider. i went the dirtbike route due to affordability. well they used to be cheap but it seems to be a fad now.. driving the prices up for us. i am trying to scrape up enough cash to buy an old cb but with 4 projects and two kids….and the wife…… doesnt leave much for street bikes. anyway  just wanted to say hey and cool site. look forward to talking to other likeminded people.

Haha..I know. They are addictive and since you can usually pick project bikes up dirt cheap, it’s hard to resist ending up with a pile of projects. The thrill to me is the endless supply of little fixes you can do on them to improve them without spending hundreds and thousands to just add chrome. Thanks for your post!

Hey, as long as you take care of the wife and kids, you deserve an obsession or two… it’ll keep you from getting burned out on just trying to get by… believe me I know. Do your family thing but leave some time for the you stuff, you need to do…you’re on the right track…ask my wife…she knows what I’m like when I get to stressed from everyday stuff, she says, ” time to go work on someting and chill…”.
