Hello, New here, I’m a retired machinest, welder, mechanic, etc. and ride a 1979 H-D Classic 80 cu. in. shovel head with a 1990 Friendship III doublewide side hack. I’m located in midwestern Ohio between Van Wert and Celina. This looks like a fine site.

I have learned over the years that there are a lot of good bikes out there other than Harley Davidson. I have had several other makes including 750 Hondas both 4 cylinders and V-twins and Goldwings. I came from a diehard Harley Davidson family and they would tell everyone that I was adopted. Any how, I’m back on Harley now and they claim me again. I have learned over the years to have and keep a good attitude no matter what you ride. I may poke a little fun once in a while but just for fun. Everyone needs to have a good attitude and have a little fun now and then.
Welcome and thanks for your post. I’ve always liked the sidecars….and the 70′s era H-Ds.
I have to ask….since you have a nice old Harley and seem to be a genuine rider, are you put off by the “pony show” attitude of most (not all) H-D riders?
I’ve came from a diehard H-D family however have rode and owned almost all brands of bikes for years. Mainly Hondas from 50cc to 1200 Goldwings. I’m back on my dad’s 1979 H-D that he bought new in 1979. My family used to tell everyone I was adopted at reunions because I rode an off brand. :<)
I enjoy any and all bikes and really not partial.
