I bought the other 79 750 as a parts bike but evrything was there, including title, so I’m going to bring her up to speed also. She’s got more rust but I’m going to do a strip down to the frame on this one. Total investment, so far, $225…

I used the headlight assembly and turn signals for the 79 10th Annv. bike because I removed the Vetter faring. I’ve already stripped down the handle bars and removed back wheel. Valve cover gaskets leaked oil everywhere so I’ve got quite an oily mess to clean up…. more L8R…

that bike was rode hard! prob had to add oil as much as gas, ( hope he kept oil up), still has some chrome pitting though….also, after looking closer at the front wheel, spotted stupid silver or gray paint on hub, may powdercoat rims, they look so bad, thinking black…thinking bout powdercoating frame anyway…

I painted and clearcoated the wheels on my CB360 before selling the project off half finished. It looked great. I sprayed the spokes too, but in the long run they really just needed to be replaced. Anyway, black hubs/rims with chrome spokes looks great.

Ha! I wish more people would spray oil all over their rims before neglecting them for 10+ years….then they wouldn’t be rusty POSs when the next owner gets to them.

    Gotta love having twins.
