- Garden Shed turned Workshop
I don’t have a garage but I do have a rather large garden shed that is bigger, inside, than some bedrooms I’ve had. It should be easy to heat, when I need to but it’ll only hold one bike. The other 79 750 will be going over to my Landlady’s garage which is a big double in which she only uses 1/2 for her new pickup.

- cracked rubbers
First thing I did was remove the rear tire as I soon realized, after seeing all the oil and crud built up everywhere, that I probablly should take it down to the frame for cleaning and repainting. The brake pads are half worn and will be replaced and, as you can see, the rubbers are cracked from hard riding. It’s going to be a big job but I’m planning on buying some new parts for the other 79, ( like handle bar switch housings etc.), that I can swap over to this one. This bikes been left, uncoverd, outside and needs em…

Scully, Do yourself a favor & spring for the factory repair manual. E-Bay usually has them. Money well spent…guaranteed!
Yeah, I should’da got one of those instead of clymer…. gonna need one anyway diving way into this one…
Push the mower out and the bike in. ” Now it;s a bike shop”. 750’s are good stuff. fun to build and hard to break.

Read my mind… all of the lawn stuff is going over to Landlady’s garage too…
Nice project, love them CB750fours, I had a 79 back in the day. Had to push start the darn thing, so I always parked it facing downhill, lol.(too young and buzy to fix it back then i guess)
Oppps… forgot… first thing I did was take off the rusty, burned through pipes and mufflers, some aftermarket megs… “curb alert!”, junk metal dude!
Glad to see you’re not stuck working on & having to store it outside! Any tech help needed, let me know. I’ve owned quite a few CB’s.
Mike.
Thanx Mike…
do you think your land lady would let me put some of my “projects” in half her garage too? my wife really hates me. cool bikes man and good luck over the winter
Oh no… don’t wanna push it! I’m trying to talk her into renting me her house and garage when she moves back to Chicago…
I know… was going to convert parts bike into an electric but couldn’t stand to see a classic destroyed. May find an old dirt bike for that…
You have one really good thing going for you….another running bike to use for reference when you get totally confused.

Got a CLYMER manual too….but those just give you the basics…
