Does anyone have any tips on pulling the engine out without major back sugery? Do they make a smaller version of an engine hoist for bikes?

There’s always the hoist from the ceiling method if you have some nice strong exposed beams and something secure to tie the end of the rope to in order to secure it to get the frame out of the way.
Without help, you can try the “Lay the bike on its side” method. Laying the bike down, Unbolt the motor from the frame, & pull the frame off the bike. Not the preferred method, but will work if you can’t find help..
I don’t know about any hoist, but a friend to help on one side is the way to go. I have lots of time on my hands, give me a shoot if you need a hand.
