First ride 2010

March 10th, 2010 by BT Leave a reply »

Well, I keep the bikes at my office during the winter now, and since I had a day when I didn’t have to rush off to pick up the kids from daycare, I thought I’d get the bikes started.

I’ve been meaning to put Sta-bil in the tanks since October…oops.  I’ve been meaning to start them both since October….oops.  The 2008 Kawasaki will not run at all without the chok in half position (unless the throttle is applied) and the battery won’t charge at all.  I figure I’ll check the water levels this week and probably pull the floats off to see if the idle jets are gummed up.

The CL200 was a pleasant surprise.  The battery was dead…no surprise there.  I reattached the fuel lines, kicked it about ten times and it was running beautifully.  There’s something to be said for a 36 year old bike that’s less finicky than a two year old bike.

Anyway, I rode around a little in the industrial park and called it a day.

Specialists tell that home loans aid people to live the way they want, just because they are able to feel free to buy needed things. Moreover, various banks offer commercial loan for different classes of people.

I sold my RIDEABLE bike and haven’t been able to work on the other yet but going to soon. My drafty shed turned out 2 B 2 COLD, even with heater and I got tired of shoveling snow away from shed door to get in…. looking better now….FINNALLY !!!!

Thanks for the posts and the enthusiasm! I’m a new vintage owner and looking to ride or meet up. I used to own classic cars, and the car cruise was an easy thing to find and do, not so much from what I found so far with vintage motorcycles (i have a honda cb750, 72). Any suggestions? Thanks for everything!
