Does anyone have any tips on pulling the engine out without major back sugery? Do they make a smaller version of an engine hoist for bikes?

I found the leak was from the rocker arm assembly. new gasket/O-ring, and back on. I had to piant something blue, I think it looks cool, lol. BTW I have some parts for the parts box Brian, but Yahoo keeps kicking out your addy.
Ok, the bike is naked, sorry, lol. If you look close enough you can see the motor gets shinnier at the base of the jugs. The second pic came out too dark to tell, but there is a oil leak it seems coming from the cam assembly. Right in between the middle carbs looks to be the wettest. So, as it where, looks like I’ll be taking the top end apart. Good project for winter. I was kinda planning on tearing it down anyways, but this makes it officail, lol.

I have my 82 CB650 Nighthawk apart for paint, I’m kinda going with a black and blue sceem, I’ll post pics in a day or so. I havn’t had a chance to work on the carbs on ‘The Problem child’ (500 Shadow) but wanted to say thanks for the input, I should know better! My compressor is back up and running, so that will be a big help. Talk at you later.
As you can see she is a Jewel in the rough, but I couldn’t be happier. I traded my roll away and a computer for the pair. My wife thinks I’m crazy but money is short these days, and I kept all the tools, LOL. The Nighthawk runs nice and with winter coming soon, the bike should be looking good for spring I hope. In the previous post you can see how much better it looks with a little cleaning. I’m gonna have to find a few parts in the mean time, like side covers and maybe a 4 into 1 pipe. If anyone is looking for stuff, the other bike is a basket case CB650 that is mostly all there save a few things I needed for the Nighthawk. I should or could post some parts in the Parts Box soon (if I remember too).

Anyone see my wifes car, It was just here?
Howdy all! I’ve been checking out the pics and posts for a day or so, being new and all I just want to say this sight is great. The pics say it all for me, hands down there is some passion in your rides. I finally figured this thing out so here is a pic of my stuff. The Nighthawk (CB650) is my latest find, and came with a whole other bike for parts. The Q-Link is my buddies (putting some LEDs on), it is a blast to ride! His wife doesn’t know he bought it, and I’m such a good freind and niebor I have to ride it past his house, toot the horn and wave to his darling, LOL. He laughs about it, no big deal. She will catch on soon I hope, I need the room!
