VintageBikeRiders.com Newsletter Edition 1
Hello fellow vintage bike riders. This is my first newsletter, so please excuse the roughness. There isn’t a whole lot to say, so this first edition will be brief……
WELCOME
Welcome all new members to vintagebikeriders.com. I hope you enjoy the site and we all look forward to seeing pictures and posts of your bikes, projects, or whatever.
As a community of people interested in vintage motorcycles, pretty much anything you have to say about your bikes, riding, frustrations with restorations, etc., is usually interesting to everyone on the site.
THANK YOU
Thank you to all of you for joining this site and for your contributions.
EVENTS
I’m trying to organize a 100 mile ride for next summer in the Portage/Summit County area. One of our members near Summit Racing is even considering hosting a nice bonfire for a reception afterward. If you have any interest, just email me (bt@vintagebikeriders.com) and let me know. You don’t need to commit to anything, but in order to plan a route and festivities I need an idea of who is participating and where you’re coming from.
Also, next Thursday I plan on being at Dunkin’ Donuts in Solon around 9:30 PM. I’d love to meet some of you. One of our members, “whysyn” usually takes a ride up there with me for some coffee and get-out-of-the-house time. Due to the temperature, I’ll probably be driving and not riding!!
WEB SITE
In case you missed it, I’ve started the community parts box. You know how everyone has a box of parts that they don’t need but also don’t want to throw away? Yeah – I’m just finding a way that we can all put our spare parts together. Visit the site for details.
Pictures – Everyone loves looking at pictures of bikes. If you haven’t already done so, please do post some pictures of your bikes.
Douchiest Harley Guy Contest: Keep an eye on the site this week as I’ll be posting the details of our Douchiest Harley Guy Contest. Since we have SOME funding coming in through Google Ads now, I can afford to reward a shamefully small prize to the winner….and everyone will be invited to vote.
That’s it! Thanks again to everyone and hope to see all of your posts on www.vintagebikeriders.com.
